• Editing is the most time-consuming. It involves reviewing the translation, term and content research if the translation seems incorrect, copyediting to improve style, and proofreading for spelling and grammatical errors. At the client's request and with the client's guidance, it can also include shortening text that is too verbose, expanding sections that are unclear, or rearranging text for greater impact.
• Reviewing means checking the translation and proofreading the target text for spelling and grammatical errors.
• Proofreading is monolingual; it means reading the English text for spelling and grammatical errors. The source language text is only consulted in unusual circumstances.

1.      General Grades

PERFECT: 100% perfect at the aspects of terminology, syntax, grammar, spelling and style with fully correct punctuation marks, blank spaces and localization etc.; scores: 100.

VERY GOOD: Generally correct at the aspects of terminology, syntax, grammar, spelling, style and localization, but with several TINY errors, scores: between 95 and 100.

GOOD: Generally correct at the aspects of terminology, syntax, grammar, spelling, style and localization, but with some errors in grammar, spelling and terminology; score 90-94.

BASICALLY GOOD: The translation is only understandable and in poor expressions, with many problems in the style, spelling, punctuation marks and terminology, score 80-89.

UNACCEPTABLE: The translation is not clear and has many serious errors. The translator does not understand the source text well and makes fully incorrect translations; and there are many serious errors in spelling, punctuation marks and terminology; score below 80
